Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham’s representatives have laughed off rumours she is set to star in High School Musical 3: Senior Year - despite the film’s star Zac Efron urging movie bosses to sign her up.

The former Spice Girl and fashion icon had allegedly been slated to play a sexy English teacher in the latest outing of the hit Disney franchise.

And speculation heightened after the lead hunk Efron gave the Brit his backing to land a role in the film, saying, “She (Victoria) is hot, funny - and let’s not forget her success with The Spice Girls.”

However, the move has been dismissed by Beckham’s spokesperson, who insists the star has not been offered a role in the film.

The representative says, “She has not been approached, but the Beckham boys are big fans of High School Musical.”

Beckham isn’t a newcomer to cameo acting roles - she appeared in an episode of hit U.S. show Ugly Betty, playing a diva bridesmaid.

“Sneakernight” - Vanessa Hudgens Lyrics

Put your sneaker on, put your sneaker on,
We’re goin’ dancin’ all night long,

I got somewhere to be,
I want you to come with me,

I put my sneaker on,
Cause I’m gonna keep dancin’
After they all go home,
So are you ready?

Did you eat?
Did you have the energy?

Are you reloaded?
Are you able to stay on your feet?
Don’t want you passing out after,
A couple of hours of beat,
We’re keep going, going, going, go and dance,

(Hook)
Basically what we’re gonna do is dance(3x)
All you gotta do is make a chance,
Basically what we’re gonna do is dance(2x)
All you gotta do is make a chance,
Yeah that’s right, It’s Sneakernight!

So now they’re closing,
Closing up shop down, go home now
This by from the end,
Second round is about to begin,
Cause I got comfortable,
When the weather is nice,
So let’s take it outside,
This means I’m hangin’
And the beatbox,
And it’s all right,

(Hook)
Basically what we’re gonna do is dance(3x)
It will come when you hear the beat,
Basically what we’re gonna do is dance(2x)
Don’t you even worry about other plans,
Yeah that’s right, It’s Sneakernight!

When the sun goes down, we wake up!
Up the night with you? no need!
No problem staying away,
When the beat is like an earthquake!

We’re unstoppable, we’re uncontrollable,
Just admit it, You can’t stop it, it addictive,

(Hook)
Basically what we’re gonna do is dance(3x)
It will come when you hear the beat,
Basically what we’re gonna do is dance(2x)
Put your sneaker on… Let’s go all night long!

Zac Efron

Zac Efron

Zac Efron has spoken out about his latest movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

The actor said the film’s producers had ensured everything was “stepped up” in the third instalment of the Disney franchise.

“It felt like the first two movies all over again,” Efron told People. “We just kind of can’t go wrong with Kenny Ortega as our director and leader and our great cast and crew.

“We’ve got no squabbles to get through.”

He added: “Everything’s been stepped up a few notches, all the dances, and I think the songs are pretty catchy this time around.

“And it’s our senior year, so we’ve got graduation and prom to look forward to. All fun things to have in a movie.”

High School Musical 3: Senior Year is released in October.

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale burst into tears while filming her final scenes for High School Musical 3: Senior Year - because she is devastated her part in the franchise is over.

The actress has been involved in all three of the hit teen movies so far, but won’t be playing Sharpay Evans for a fourth time.

And she insists she wasn’t the only one to shed a tear on the last day - her castmates Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu all got emotional too.

She says, “We went into the last day thinking, ‘It’ll all be fine ’cause we’re all really good friends and we’re so close.

“It wasn’t even the last scene - we couldn’t even get through it. We were crying and just so emotional over the whole thing.

“We’re so attached to each other. We’ve had such fun doing these movies. It’s definitely something that’s tough to leave and say goodbye to.”

Tisdale also confirms she is not the only one who will miss out on a further Disney follow-up.

She adds, “I heard they’re going to do a High School Musical 4, but we have nothing to do with it. I think we’re all doing other projects and moving on.”

High School Musical 3: Official Trailer

High School Musical 3: Official Trailer

Are Troy and Gabriella calling it quits?

High School Musical’s East High power couple (played by real-life couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens) talk about saying goodbye in the first official trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Senior Year is the musical franchise’s first installment slated for the big screen, and it looks like the HSM team has amped up the action.

The film follows Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats through their senior year as they prepare for life after graduation. The trailer features all of the franchise’s favorite moments: flashy musical numbers, basketball court dance sequences, and a romantic duet for our favorite East High couple.

Plus, a bit of romantic intrigue: Gabriella tells Troy, “I’m a lot better at saying goodbye than you.” His response: “Are you saying goodbye?”

“We wanted it to end at East High,” Efron told People Magazine of coming back for a third High School Musical movie. “There are a lot of questions, everyone wants to know where we leave our futures, and this is a great way to leave the story.”

Featuring 10 new original songs, High School Musical 3: Senior Year is due out in theaters Oct. 24.

Hopefully I’ll be able to find some other stuff before October rolls around. Enjoy!

High School Musical 3

High School Musical 3: Senior Year will be the next installment in Disney’s popular High School Musical franchise. It’s scheduled to hit theatres on Friday October 24, 2008. Kenny Ortega returns as director and choreographer and so do all six primary actors.

Now high school seniors, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) are facing the prospect of being separated from each other as they go off in different directions when graduating from East High. Joined by the rest of their Wildcat friends, including Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale), Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel), Chad Danforth (Corbin Bleu), Taylor McKessie (Monique Coleman) and Kelsi Nielsen (Olesya Rulin), they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future.
